AC Delco’s TSS Benefits provides hands-on Training Courses every year for all AC Delco TSS members. These are instructor-led courses that incorporate hands-on practice and recognition of vehicles component functionality covering diagnostics and repair procedures. These courses are offered at AC Delco training Centres throughout Canada.

CARSability is a cost-effective, easy to use skills assessment tool designed to identify training gaps for participants in 34 automotive related occupations. CARSability provides immediate and accurate assessments of the true skill levels of participants.

Intructor Led Training

ACDelco is pleased to announce the Intructor Training Courses for 1st and second quarter 2012. These Instructor-led courses will incorporate hands-on practice and recognition of vehicle component functionality and would cover diagnostics and repair procedures. Based on the results of this year’s Training Survey, the following three hands-on courses have been scheduled for this Spring.

• The three new courses available are:

  • Intelligent Energy Management Systems – Are they Outsmarting you? S-EL06-15.01ILT-CA
    
    What happens when you turn the key? In this class, technicians will enhance their diagnostic skills by working through a series of real-life scenarios targeting various vehicle manufacturers. This course will cover complex electrical energy management systems using the latest diagnostic approaches developed in actual service situation

  • Air Induction and Fuel Injection Systems – Why don’t they Measure up?  S-EP08-06.01ILT-CA

  This course explores the different operational and diagnostic procedures on various vehicle manufacturers' air induction and fuel systems. In this class, technicians will use a combination of hands on exercises and case studies to develop various service strategies, reducing time spent under the hood.

  • Vehicle Code Diagnostics and Strategies – Why is the Light on Again? S-DS11-01.01ILT-CA
    
    This course emphasizes different vehicle manufacturers' approach to finding the root cause of today’s challenging diagnostic code flow charts. Technicians will work through a sample of current ongoing real-life scenarios designed to enhance the technician's knowledge of these complex diagnostic routines and repair validations. What is Mode 6 and where does it fit into diagnostics?
